We know chip shortages have hit the entire silicon industry, and in India, too, its effect is being felt as more and more old CPUs are getting popular. This strangely includes the three-year-old hexa-core AMD Ryzen 5 2600, which is now the best-selling desktop processor on Amazon India.
It’s not that it is an outstanding CPU or anything; it’s just that the supply/demand ratio is not up to the mark, raising the prices of a lot of older processors. Though new Ryzen 5000 series processors are in stock but find them at the right prices but be tricky; premium CPUs can still be found in stock.
