The football buffs are preparing themselves for some great action on Tuesday evening as the two-time World champions take on the defending runners-up Croatia in the semi-finals. Both the teams had been through two mind-blowing quarterfinals, which were pushed to the penalty shootout after late equalizers.

The tournament has been great for both teams. Rather, Argentina began with a loss against Saudi Arabia, but both teams have surpassed all the negative criticisms around them to reach the round of four.

Argentina team news: De Paul to miss the semis?

There were high fears regarding De Paul playing in the semi-final against Luca Modric’s side due to injury. However, both the manager Lionel Scaloni and the player himself have rejected any such possibilities. In the last game, Paul was there for 66 minutes until being replaced by Leonardo Paredes.

The quarter-final between the Dutch and Argentina was aggressive, with the referee pulling out the yellow card a total of 18 times. Following disciplinary guidelines, Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel will be benched in their semi-final fixture.

What’s the team news for Croatia?

Four Croatian players entered the quarter-finals with just a line away from suspension. It includes Luca Modric and Mateo Kovacic. However, they have successfully passed the disciplinary adherence. Expectantly, Zlatko Dalic is having a fully fit squad to pick his playing 11 for the very important semi-final.

The showdown between the two camps is going to be terrific as both the greats Messi and Modric will give their best to step into their second World Cup finals. Who has the last smile? Who will make it to the finals to face France vs Morocco winner?
