Pique might not have liked the decision to not consider the foul on Marcos Alonso for the Osasuna goal too, with his complaints getting him a sending-off itself. It signifies, he wasn’t allowed to be present on the bench for the second half.

The referee wasn’t ready to hear from the Barcelona player, but Pique went after him down the tunnel. This wasn’t the first time that he has talked against the same referee.

Back in 2021, when a match was on with Real Madrid, Pique chased down Gil Manzano regarding his discussion not to include more stoppage time. Similar to Tuesday’s game, the star center-back wasn’t a part of the playing team that day though he was on the bench. However, that didn’t restrict him from seeking answers from the referee.

The central defender had declared his retirement earlier and that signifies Tuesday to be his last game day in LaLiga Santander. He bade goodbye to Camp Nou last Saturday, but his concluding match away to Osasuna surely closed on a totally different note.
