IND vs ZIM: Deepak Hooda creates a world record in the 2nd ODI

Deepak Hooda has added great value to Team India in white-ball cricket. He has given consistent performances in this format. He helped the team with 25 runs in the second One Day International against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday, August 20. Indian won the 2nd ODI as well and will look forward to defeating Zimbabwe in the next match as well.

Hooda has achieved this new height in the 2nd ODI of Zimbabwe. It’s his world record that since his international debut, India won every game that he has been a part of. The team has had 16 victories in a row since Hooda joined the playing XI squad.

India’s 16 consecutive wins with Deepak Hooda have made him the lucky charm of the team. This is the longest winning streak for a player after playing at the international level. The Men in Blue have won seven One Day Internationals and nine T20Is.

The cricketer has been a part of the Indian squad since 2017 but it was in February 2022 that he got make his debut at the highest level of cricket. Deepak Hooda has surpassed Romania’s Satvik Nadigotla’s record who had a winning streak of 15. Players like South African middle-order batter David Miller (13) and Romania’s Shantanu Vashisht (13) are also on the list.

In the 2nd ODI, Deepak Hooda scored 25 runs and also was influential with is bowling with a figure of 1/6. He got two overs and his economy was three. His and the entire gang’s motive will be to register a whitewash against Zimbabwe.

The third ODI will be played at Harare on Monday, August 22. The Indian team is led by KL Rahul whereas the Zimbabwe team is led by Craig Ervine.
