Kieron Pollard, the former West Indies all-rounder became the first cricketer to play 600 matches in T20 format. He achieved this feat on August 8, Monday. He was playing for London Sporit against manchester Originals in the Hundred at Lord’s, London. His first T20 match was in July 2006 for Trinidad & Tobago.
Later, he made his T20I debut in June 2008 and appeared in 101 matches. he led the 2012 T20 team and was the skipper of the 2021 T20 World Cup in Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In his 600th game, Kieron Pollard scored 34 runs in just 11 deliveries with four and four sixes that took his team past the 160-run mark.
Dwayne Bravo, on the other hand, became the first player to scalp 600 T20I wickets. He achieved this feat while he was playing for Northern Superchargers in the match against Oval Invincibles in the Hundred tournament. Bravo scalped Rilee Rossouw’s wicket on LBW and after that picked Sam Curran’s wicket for his 600th. The all-rounder who has the varied pace of the ball bowled a slower delivery to dismiss Curran in the match.
After he claimed his 600th T20 wicket, Bravo celebrated his feat in a unique style. This is the 516th innings of his T20 career. His overall figures were 2 for 29 in the 20 balls that he bowled in this match. Bravo became the first player in the world to scalp 600 wickets, he’s followed by Rashid Khan of Afghanistan and Sunil Narine from Trinidad. They have picked 466 and 457 T20 wickets respectively.
