Man United makes an offer to Christian Eriksen, who will become a free agent soon

Various reports state that the Red Devils, i.e., Manchester United have made an offer to Christian Eriksen of Brentford. The Denmark international short-term contract with his present is going to expire soon, on June 30, with only a few days left. Man United have prioritized signing Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, but if the two sides fail to reach an agreement, their preferable option to go for is Christian Eriksen.

Performance of the midfielder

The 30-year-old made a massive impact during this short time with the Bees, as he assisted his club to finish at the 13th spot in their first season of the English Premier League. The Dane showed his appearance on 11 occasions since his arrival in January and by this time, he helped Thomas Frank’s men to emerge victorious in seven of those matches.

Brentford was much determined to keep him beyond this season, and also tried to a great extent, however, the impressive performance by the midfielder has attracted several parties, with Manchester United being one of them. He faced a cardiac arrest in Euro 2020 but still has managed to perform and maintain his high standards, with the top-level clubs being interested in him.

Christian Eriksen in this regard

Christian Eriksen said in this regard that he has different offers as well as options, which they are considering and then they make a decision. He would love to play in the Champions League as he knows how much fun it is, however it is not essential for him, he added.

Reports also state that Tottenham Hotspur, the former club of Christian Eriksen might be interested in him, as well as Ajax. It is to be seen, where the Denmark midfielder goes, and it seems like the Red Devils will be the sure answer for this.
