Al-Khelaifi decides to have a new approach for PSG

Nasser Al-khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), said he was in charge of the team after breaking up with sporting director Leonardo, who received a lot of support after the extension of Kylian Mbappe’s contract.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino’s future remains uncertain, with the names of Jose Mourinho, Marcelo Gallardo, Christophe Galtier, Ruben Amorin, and even Zinedine Zidane emerging as candidates for the Argentine boss.

Leonardo left PSG last Thursday after reaching an agreement with the club to end his second spell as the club’s sporting director.

    Pochettino’s current situation on PSG

Pochettino seems to be on standby. The Argentine coach has informed the players that pre-season training will begin on July 4th. Pochettino hasn’t received a call from the club since the team raised the League One trophy at Parc des Princes 16 days ago.

Currently, there are rumors that several coaches will be linked to his work at PSG. The last name to appear was the Roma tactician Mourinho. However, in reality, Pochettino has one year left on his contract and has not received any information about his potential for future exits.

What role is to be played by Luis Campos?

Leonardo’s resignation will pave the way for Luis Campos as presidential adviser.

Former Assistant Manager of Mourinho of Real Madrid will play the same role as when he was in Celta Vigo, serving as an advisor and man of confidence for Alkhelaifi.

He will not be PSG’s sporting director, but Alkhelaifi will be in charge and will have a say in the club’s decisions.

It is now believed that the main reason behind Leonardo’s resignation was that there was no major connection between him and Mbappe during the contract renewal negotiations.
