Manchester United has got Erling Haaland for an evident bargain by operating his €60 million release clause- indeed less than any club would have thought to pay on the open market for the star Borussia Dortmund striker.

Reportedly, the late Mino Raiola’s agency was to make €34m along with Haaland’s father Alfie Inge Haaland. That number indicates two-thirds of the transfer cost itself and alongside the wages, Haaland junior is ready to make, taking the entire cost fine into the hundreds of millions.
The supposed law modifications coming from governing body FIFA are targeted towards restricting the amount of money the agents can make through deals, the greatest headline being that agents will not be able to make anything higher than 10% of the cost of a deal.

The above process would result in a significant decline in the fees, although some reports say this will seemingly mean agents attempting to drive up transfer costs in a bid to enhance their commission.
Even with that plan in mind, it would be tough for any club to end up paying an agent the same money. Indeed, agents will have some response to this and are most unlikely to accept the changes lying down. In case FIFA has its process, it could have a dramatic effect on the market.
