Sunrisers Hyderabad is still on in the race for playoffs as they defeated Mumbai Indians on Tuesday at the Wankhede Stadium, after an epic thriller. It was a high-scoring match between SRH and MI where the former secured the win by 3 runs. SRH batted first and put up 193 on the scoreboard with the loss of 6 wickets. MI coming to bat in the second innings fought brilliantly but was limited to 190 losing 7 of their batsmen. Here are three factors that led SRH to pick up the win.

Rahul Tripathi played a brilliant knock of 76 of 44 deliveries with 9 fours and 3 sixes, with a strike rate of 172.73, which was the main factor behind the orange army putting up a good total of 193. Also, Priyam Garg and Nicholas Pooran supported him in this journey scoring 42 of 26 and 38 of 22 balls respectively.
Getting Tim David out
Though it seemed like Hyderabad was closing towards victory, Tim David turned the tables. In Natarajan’s 4th over, Tim David hit 4 sixes in a row, and overall scored 46 of 18 deliveries, with a strike rate of 255.56. However, in the last ball of that Natarajan’s over, he runs out Tim David turning the tables all over again.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s penultimate over
Though Tim David got out in the previous over, he made the equation easy making it 19 runs needed from 12 balls. Though experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar made the 19th over a wicket maiden, completely taking the game out of MI’s hand. Though in the last over, Ramandeep Singh hit one four and a six, scoring 14 of 6 balls, but eventually lost by 3 runs, after the epic battle.
