Fantastic Four and their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Potential release dates and more

The Fantastic Four was supposed to be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe on July 19 and now, they’ve finally had their debut, all thanks to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Having witnessed the cinematic lineup of the Fantastic Four in the ‘Multiverse of Madness’, fans are quite curious as to what MCU has planned for the movie.

Originally, the movie was meant to be overseen by Jon Watts, director of the Spider-Man Trilogy. However, he seems to have taken a break from the project having met the deadline on April 29.

The set of MCU is ‘At Wit’s End’?

In this context, many were overjoyed when Jon Watts was announced as the director, as his talent made the Spider-Man trilogy possible. However, the filmmaker himself withdrew from the endeavor a few months later because he wanted a break from his career as well as the superheroes.

Earlier, Kevin Feige has confirmed that a new version of the story will be part of the future of MCU, but in reality, the release is yet to make an appearance on the 2023 release dates.

Marvel declared the development started long back in 2019, however, due to the inadequacy of the cast, the project is moving slower than expected.

The cast of Fantastic Four is yet to be determined

In ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ we noticed John Krasinski playing Reed Richards or Mister Fantastic.

Further dotting on the details we witnessed his character was killed off, which hints us towards a new casting in the Fantastic Four. It should be noted that Mr. Fantastic was played in other versions of the story by Ioan Gruffudd and Miles Teller.

Formerly, Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan took on the role, nevertheless, it’s quite unlikely for Evans to reprise the role of the human torch, having played the role of Captain America in MCU.

And while we are on the topic, for Ben Grimm, Michael Chiklis played the role in both the 2005 and 2007 versions and Jamie Bell did so in 2015, but, both the actors seem to have dismissed the idea of repetition of their characterization.
