India creates history by defeating Denmark in the semi-finals and progressing to their first-ever Thomas Cup final

    The Indian men’s team qualified for the finals of the Thomas Cup by defeating Denmark in the Semifinals. HS Prannoy led the team into the semifinals after winning the last match of the tie. India is ready to face Indonesia in the summit clash on Sunday, 15th May. Team India created history by qualifying for the finals for the first time in the history of the Thomas Cup League.

    HS Prannoy while having an injury played his top game. He defeated India’s Kidambi Srikanth and continued his unbeaten run in the Thomas Cup as he defeated Rasmus Gemke 13-21, 21-9, 21-12 to take India into the final. Kidambi Srikanth had also extended his unbeaten run in the tournament after defeating Anders Antonsen 21-18, 12-21, 21-15 in the second men’s singles tie.
