‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, the long-awaited sci-fi flick by James Cameron has finally released its trailer

    The 2009 hit has finally been followed up with a sequel after a decade worth of wait. However, after several delays, the 20th century has finally let us peek into Cameron’s ‘Avatar 2’.

    When did the teaser trailer for ‘Avatar 2’ release?

    The teaser trailer for the sci-fi adventure debuted on 27th April 2022, at CinemaCon, the title for the film Avatar: The Way of Water is said to be disclosed on the same day as the trailer. It was declared online on May 9.

    The most anticipated sequel of the Avatar is said to be screened in the theaters on December 16, 2022, after facing numerous delays and the launch being postponed from December 2021 due to the growing global health crisis.

    The sequel began filming in 2017, but it’s no wonder it took a while because the film has a mix of live-action and motion-capture elements. In September 2020, 

    Cameron announced that the second part of the movie was “100% complete” and the third part was approximately 95% complete.

    Given that there are still three movies yet to be released, Cameron has been working on them over the last few years. In December 2021, he declared that he had already shot bits of the fourth part due to the young cast.

    Earlier BBC News reported that it had “seen documentation” which revealed the titles for the four sequels as the following:

    • Avatar: The Way of Water
    • Avatar: The Seed Bearer
    • Avatar: The Tulkun Rider
    • Avatar: The Quest for Eywa

    In the sequel, Zoe Cerdanya and Sam Worthington will ve reprising their roles of Neytiri and Jake Sully. CCH Pounder will also return as Neytiri’s shaman mother Moat. Giovanni Ribisi returns as an unobtanium-hungry Parker Selfridge. Joel David Moore will be returning as researcher Norm Spellman and Dileep Rao as Dr. Max Patel of the Avatar Program. 

    Apart from that there’s Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, Vin Diesel as TBC, Edie Falco as General Ardmore, Michelle Yeoh as Dr. Karina Mogue, Jemaine Clement as Dr. Ian Garvin, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, Kate Winslet as Ronal, Sigourney Weaver as TBC and Jamie Flatters as Neteyam and more.
