The 21-year-old Norwegian wonder boy Erling Haaland is ready to begin his English Premier League career soon as he has reportedly agreed to join the top PL club Manchester City. The renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who is famous for trustworthy sources for football transfers, has also confirmed this deal.
Erling Haaland is one of the best young footballers in the present world. Currently, he is playing for the German club Borussia Dortmund since early 2020.
Erling Haaland’s transfer is likely happening closer to €60million
While the European summer transfer window will start in early June, the 21-year-old Haaland is one of the biggest names to change the club in this forthcoming pre-season transfer window. According to Fabrizio Romano reports, Haaland has passed medical tests for Manchester City on Monday (9th May) in Belgium.
Fabrizio has also mentioned that the transfer deal is likely to be settled closer to €60million rather than the rumoured €75million. Haaland’s salary in Manchester Blues will not be over Kevin De Bruyne, who earns £375,000 per week in the club.
While the Manchester City board is busy for several weeks to confirm the Haaland deal, the paperwork is now getting ready to finalise the deal. Borussia Dortmund will also activate the release clause for Haaland very soon.
According to Fabrizio, both the clubs will officially announce the deal this week after activating the release clause. Haaland, who is likely to sign the Sky Blues contract to stay until June 2027, reportedly wants to say goodbye to Borussia Dortmund fans this Saturday (14th May) when they will play their last home game in this German Bundesliga season.
