When it comes to foldable phones, Samsung is the most popular brand because it has the most of them. To be on top of the category, the South Korean company needs to keep that number up, which implies more foldable gadget launches. With this in mind, Samsung may decide to release the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip in India as well as other international markets. The Galaxy Watch 5 could be accompanying them.
The battery models, which were earlier seen on the website of the worldwide regulator, have now appeared on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards, or BIS, according to 91Mobiles. A screenshot of the website’s listings reveals battery models for both forthcoming foldable phones and the wristwatch, both of which are expected to be released later this year.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4’s models are EB-BF936ABY and EB-BF937ABY, the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s models are EB-BF722ABY and EB-BF723ABY, and the Galaxy Watch 5’s models are EB-BR910ABY, EB-BR925ABY, and EB-BR900ABY
When an electronic product, such as a smartphone or smartwatch, is ready to be released, it must first get the relevant certificates and licences from the country’s regulatory agency. The BIS in India provides the product its seal of approval, indicating that it is now fit for sale. The fact that Samsung’s future foldable phones and wristwatch are listed on BIS suggests that all three devices are on their way to India, and their launch might happen anytime soon.
The listings on the BIS website, on the other hand, do not reveal anything additional. That means that, while we know the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Watch 5 are on the way, we don’t know the specifications or, more importantly, the actual debut date. That is why we will pay attention to what the rumour mill has to say.
Although the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 may have a superior design, the cameras are likely to remain unchanged, with a 108-megapixel main sensor and a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor. On the other side, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 might have a better hinge design as well as improved water and dust resistance. Samsung’s next Galaxy Watch 5 could have larger batteries than the current model while remaining the same size at 40mm and 44mm.
