Mikel Arteta and Jonas Eidevall sign new Arsenal Contract To Stay With The Gunners

    Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta & women’s boss Jonas Eidevall sign contract extensions. Manager Mikel Arteta plans to stay till 2025 meanwhile women’s boss Jonas Eidevall is to stay until the end of the 23/24 campaign.

    Arteta plans to take Arsenal “to the next level” after agreeing to a new long-term contract with the Gunners. The Spaniard, appointed in 2019, guided Arsenal to eighth place in the league last year. The Gunners are currently in fourth place with four games remaining as they attempt to secure a spot in the Champions League for the first time since 2017.

    I’m excited, grateful, and really, really happy today. We want to take the club to the next level and to compete really with the top teams”, says Arteta. 

    Mikel Arteta spent the remaining 5 years of his playing career at Arsenal Before retiring in 2016. He was assistant to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

    before taking the top job at Arsenal, where he beat Umai Emery to the Manager’s position in December 2019 and celebrated the victory of winning the FA Cup in the span of just six months.

    In addition to that, the Swedish professional Jonas Eidevall, who joined from Rosengard last summer, signed a new deal after an excellent first season in London. Wherein he has seized the title of Women’s Super League all the way to the final weekend.

    The 39-year-old is to remain with the Gunners for another two years.

    “It’s great”, exclaimed the Swede “It allows me to continue to work for a club that I love so much and be around people I really, really like and to be able to achieve things together, so I’m really looking forward to that”.
