IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans beat CSK by 3 wickets after an epic battle

Fans got to see an epic battle between the four-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings, and the IPL 15 table-toppers Gujarat Titans, where the former tried their level best to achieve the win, but it was the latter who ultimately savored the victory. CSK put up 169 for the loss of 5 wickets on the scoreboard in 20 overs, and Gujarat Titans chased it down after an epic run chase in 7 wickets, and in 1 ball left. Here are 3 factors to consider from the match.

Gujarat Titans’ bowlers limiting CSK in 169

Though CSK batters including Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu played well, scoring 73 of 48 balls and 46 of 31 balls respectively, still the GT bowlers limited the CSK batters not to going beyond the 170 mark. 169 is overall a good score but very much achievable while chasing the target. However, credit goes to the CSK bowlers as they made this match a thriller.

    Killer Miller’s unbelievable knock

After a long time, South-African hard-hitter David Miller played an impressive knock of 94 of 51 deliveries with 8 sixes and 6 fours with a strike rate of 184.31. The top order of Gujarat Titans totally failed in the match, and even Hardik Pandya was not playing who would handle the business with ease. However, Miller didn’t allow anyone to feel anyone’s absence, as he performed his job well, taking his team past the victory margin.

    Rashid Khan’s speedy innings

Though Miller was playing like a lone warrior as wickets continued to fall frequently from the other end. However, Rashid Khan came, and played brilliant innings of 40 of only 21 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes, with a strike rate of 190.48. He decreased the required run rate, which is also among the significant factors behind Gujarat Titans achieving the victory.
