As the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League goes forward, the competition is becoming more interesting to watch. Gujarat Titans face their first defeat of the season, and SRH, on the other hand, seems to take control in the competition which they were unable to do, at the start. In this match, Gujarat Titans put up 162 for the loss of 7 wickets on the scoreboard, which Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down in 8 wickets with 5 balls left.
Tight bowling by the Orange Army
SRH bowlers going for massive runs is generally a blue moon event in IPL. As usual, they bowled very well against Gujarat Titans and didn’t permit them to go past the 162 mark. All the bowlers including Bhuvi, Jansen, Sundar, Natarajan, and Umran Malik did well for their team. Though none of them single-handedly got lots of wickets, overall it was a team effort to hold GT back in 162.
Captains knock by the SRH skipper
Kane Williamson has got his form back in IPL 15, which is a good sign for the SRH fans too. In the earlier matches, he wasn’t able to score many runs, but today chasing a total of 162, he played a captain’s inning of 57 runs with 46 deliveries, with 2 fours and 4 sixes. Also, Abhishek Shamra coming to batch alongside him as an opener helped him, by scoring 42 of 32 balls, by 6 fours.
Nicholas Pooran finishing the game
Another good news for the SRH fans is that West Indian power-hitter Nicholas Pooran has also started to show his real colors on the field. He finished the game for the orange army, by scoring a speedy knock of 34 runs with 18 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes.
