IPL 2022: RR secure the victory over LSG in a nail-biting finish

Rajasthan Royals secure the win against LucknowSupergiants in a tremendous nail-biting finish at the Wankhede Stadium. Though it wasn’t a high-scoring match, rather it was a greater thriller than the other high-scoring matches as well. RR put up a score of 165 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs, and on the other hand, LSG registered 162 for the loss of 8 wickets on the scoreboard. Terrific Innings by Shimron Hetmyer

West Indian star player Shimron Hetmyer has been phenomenally performing for RR. He did the same in this match too, where he scored 59 of 36 balls with only 1 four and 6 sixes. No other batsmen were able to stand for long, He played at a strike rate of 163.89, for which Rajasthan was able to get to a fighting total.

Trent Boult’s opening over

Trent Boult bowled a stupendous first over and proved that the left-arm fast bowlers are indeed one of the most dangerous when they are in form. He got KL Rahul out in the first ball when the wicket hit the stumps. Then he bowled a wide, and in the next ball, they got Krishnappa Gowtham out by lbw. That attacking tone by Rajasthan Royals set their tone towards winnings their match against LSG.

Brilliant last over by Kuldeep Sen

Though LSG seemed to have been out of the game, Marcus Stoinis coming to bat at number 7, started to show his color. He scored 38 runs off just 17 deliveries with 2 fours and 4 sixes. In the last over, LSG needed 14 runs, and everyone thought that Stoinis would make it easily, However, Kuldeep Sen did a brilliant job for the Royals, by not permitting the Australian hard-hitter to get past the target, and led Rajasthan to victory.
