Genshin Impact: Guide to understanding Yae Miko

Any character in Genshin Impact may be your main DPS if you put in the time and effort. That means you can have Yae Miko handle the heavy lifting in your team if you want her to. Off-field sub-DPS is, however, Yae Miko’s ideal identity.

She should be on the field as little as possible in this role, and only switch in when her talents and bursts are no longer on cool-down. After Yae’s EEEQEEE has been spammed several times in a row, she has completed her task and can be replaced by another party member.

    Abilities of Yae Miko

    Elemental skill: Sesshou Sakura (SS)

At the most, You can summon three Sesshou Sakura onto the field at once. If three SS are present, each SS strikes 5 times in 14 seconds, for a total of 15 strikes. Strikes also generate one elemental particle (only one SS can generate particles), for a total of 5 elemental particles every 14 seconds.

    Elemental Burst: Tenko Keshin (TK)

Every SS on the field becomes a Tenko Electrobolt, dealing AOE electrical damage. After the TK skill is activated, the SS will vanish.

Yae’s Elemental Burst costs 90 energy, which is quite a lot. She also only produces a little number of elemental particles, 5 every 14 seconds. Yae’s artefact substations should focus on Energy Recharge (ER per cent) as much as can to make her work effective and her Burst available frequently.

Kagura’s Verity, a new five-star weapon created exclusively for Yae Miko, was released by Mihoyo. So it should come as no surprise that Kaguya Verity is the finest option for those willing to risk their money on the soul-crushing weapon flag. Other weapons that are easier to obtain are listed below. Keep in mind that the weapon you choose will have an impact on how you construct your artefacts. If Yae has Kagura’s Verity, for example, you can concentrate on improving Crit per cent substats rather than Crit Dmg per cent substats.

    Artefact Sets

    • Emblem of Severed Fate:
      • 2 Piece: ER +20%
      • 4 Piece: Elemental Burst DMG +25% of Energy Recharge. Max 75% bonus.
    • Thundering Fury:
      • 2 Piece: Electro Dmg bonus +15%.
      • 4 piece: Overloaded, Electro-Charged and Superconduct damage is increased by 40%. Elemental Skill CD by 1s when such effects are triggered.

A good sub-DPS set for Yae is the 4-piece

    Noblesse Oblige set:

    • 2 Piece: Elemental Burst +20% Dmg
    • 4 Piece: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members’ ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack

    Team comps

    Electro Battery Team Comp

Characters who can be Yae’s battery are a good choice for team comps because of her energy needs. Yae Miko with Raiden is a good choice if you have her. Raiden’s Elemental Burst includes elemental particle creation for all party members in addition to damage. Fischl should potentially also be able to assist with ER demands.

    Swirl Team Comp

Superconduct teams for Yae were originally featured in this section, but as Genshin players have pointed out, superconduct teams aren’t that powerful. Sad! I like the appearance, and it serves me well, but other elemental reactions are more damaging.

With You, Swirl teams are still fantastic. Run Yae, Raiden (battery), Kazuha (swirl), and Bennett at the same time (healer).
