During its online launch event, Xiaomi unveiled the Watch S1 series outside of China. Xiaomi has unveiled the Watch S1 and Watch S1 Active, both of which include a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with sapphire glass and a stainless-steel casing, as expected. The silicone watch band on the Watch S1 Active is different from the leather watch band on the ordinary Watch S1.
The global models come with 117 fitness modes pre-installed, including professional training modes like high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and elliptical training, just like their Chinese counterparts. In addition, all models come pre-loaded with over 200 watch dials and support MIUI Super Wallpaper. Xiaomi hasn’t integrated Wear OS or Google Assistant in the Watch S1 series, but it does support Amazon Alexa.
The Watch S1 series also includes dual-band GPS, 24/7 health-tracking, 5 ATM water resistance, and a battery life of up to 12 days. Xiaomi claims that the smartwatch will allow MasterCard payments over NFC right out of the box. Xiaomi usually offers non-NFC and NFC-enabled variants, such as the Mi Smart Band 6.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 series is available to order starting today, with the Watch S1 Active starting at €179. The standard Watch S1 costs €229, even though the two watches are functionally identical. For those who pre-order the Watch S1 or Watch S1 Active before March 31, Xiaomi will also include a Mi Body Composition Scale 2 worth €29.99.
