After the success of 1883 season 1, Paramount+ is all set to prepare for the second season. The details so far, however, are a bit hazy. The Yellowstone prequel cantered a rather shockingly emotional and downright bleak conclusion to the season finale of the first segment.
Elsa Dutton (portrayed by Isabel May) breathed her last in her father Jame’s (played by Tim McGraw) arms after she was shot by an arrow in the penultimate episode of the season. The story wrapped up with the Duttons settling in Montana, where the Dutton Ranch has currently situated Yellowstone.
According to Paramount+, more episodes are on their way.
1883 Season 2: What Do We Know About it?
According to the announcement of Paramount+, they are up for a prequel titled 1932. The series will follow a brand new generation of Duttons set during the time of Western expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression.
Chris McCarthy, the President, and CEO of ViacomCBS Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios stated recently that with the spectacular mind and gifted storytelling of Taylor Sheridan they have developed an entirely new world to explore since 1883 while expanding Yellowstone. He further added that by 1932 they will open up a new chapter in this supremely growing universe.
1883 Season 2: When Will it Premier on Paramount+?
Taylor Sheridan, the spectacular scribe has the upcoming seasons of Yellowstone, 1883, and Mayor of Kingstown to produce besides an amazing slate of new shows that include 1932, Bass Reeves, The Tulsa King, Lioness, and Land Man.
Hence, it can be a bit difficult to predict a release date for season 2.
Will it be on Netflix?
No, the show is a Paramount+ original.
More episodes are on the way but fans shouldn’t expect a complete season of 10 episodes. Apparently, it seems, Paramount shall provide the fans with a few bonus episodes to shift the story forward to 1932.
