OFF Global, a French tech firm, has secured a licencing arrangement with Nokia to design and sell laptops. It now has an exclusive international licence to produce Nokia-branded laptops. The 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch PureBook Pro models with Intel Alder Lake-P processors at low prices are the first to be introduced.
The new Nokia Purebook Pro blends high-end features with affordable pricing. The laptops include rounded corners and more noticeable anti-gliding feet, similar to Apple’s 14-inch MacBook Pros. There’s also an aluminium cover in four colours, with a 0.7-inch profile and a total weight of 3.7 lbs for the 15-inch model and 5.5 kg for the 17-inch one.
Nokia and OFF Global combined an Intel Core i3-1220P CPU with ten cores and 12 threads and a 64 EU Xe GPU, with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD to keep pricing low. The display is also tiny, with a matte surface and a resolution of 1080p. There are no Thunderbolt ports, but two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with charge capabilities, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 with charge capabilities, a microSD card reader, and an audio jack. Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5 connectivity is also offered, with a battery life of up to 10 hours.
Most Western and Northern European countries, including France, Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, as well as Morocco, Tunisia, Canada, and Thailand, will begin shipping these models soon. There is no word regarding availability in the United States for the time being. The 15-inch model will cost €699, while the 17-inch variant will cost only €100 extra.
