New benchmarks of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 & MX500 Laptop GPUs leaked

Just hours after the original announcement of its new laptop GPUs, the 3DMark TimeSpy results of RTX 2050 and MX570/550 laptop GPUs have been leaked. The first benchmarks of both these entry-level NVIDIA GPUs have emerged from the Zhihu platform, and most probably these are some early results of preproduction samples.

These new Turing based GPUs could save the day for NVIDIA as it looks to offer more to gamers in spite of the never-ending chip shortage. Interestingly, these preliminary scores go to show that both RTX 2050 and MX570 are on par with each other, at least in this 3DMark test.

Much expectedly, while the GeForce RTX 2050 has been limited to 4GB memory, whereas the MX570 is equipped with 2GB, the performance of the latter is quite impressive thanks to the newer GDDR6 memory. Also, the leak confirms the fact that these new MX500 SKUs will be limited to the 64-bit memory bus and 12 Gbps memory bandwidth.

While the clock speeds vary from 1155 MHz for the MX570 and 1320 MHz for MX550 GPUs and as Videocardz points out, the MX550 is nothing but a cut-down version of the GeForce GTX 1650 but based on the new Turing TU117 GPU while now there are 1024 CUDA cores and faster GDDR6 memory.

For the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 laptop GPU, in 3DMark TimeSpy, there’s a score of around 4800 points as for graphics while the MX500 scores are based on pre-production samples still are quite impressive. We will not have to wait for much longer as both new RT X2050 and MX500 GPUs are officially launching at the start of next year.
