Former US President Donald Trump to launch his own social media platform to compete with Big Tech companies

Donal Trump, the former US President might not be the best president the country had ever seen but he certainly was one of a kind. And I will remember him as the first US president to step inside North Korea while serving and also to successfully make peace with Kim Jong Un.

And recently the former U.S. President Donald Trump that he will be launching his own social media platform, TRUTH Social, which will be developed by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG).

Trump’s new social network is set to launch a beta version in November, however, it will first be made available only to guests. The former US president is expecting the app to roll out in the first quarter of 2022.

Trump signaled his aspirations to create a rival social media platform after he was kicked off several social media platforms, as we already know about the infamous feud between Trump and Social media giants. Major social media firms including Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, have either banned or suspended Trump for violating their policies following the infamous and unfortunate Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced.”

Trump said that the company’s mission is to create “a rival to the liberal media consortium and fight back against the Big Tech companies.”

TRUTH Social app will be developed by a new company which was formed by a merger of the Trump Media and Technology Group and Digital World Acquisition Corp.
