IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals picked up an easy win against Sunrisers Hyderabad!

Delhi Capitals dominated Sunrisers Hyderabad and picked up the victory against them with ease. Sunrisers are currently residing at last on the points table. With the start of the IPL Phase, 2 fans thought that all the teams which were unable to play up to the mark in phase one will shine in the second half. However, the orange army was still not able to come out of their low form, and got another defeat by the DC in the Dubai International Stadium.

The Match

With SRH batting first, it was expected that they would make a good total, as scores have been high here in recent instances. However, Anrich Nortje gave DC an early breakthrough by dismissing the dangerous David Warner. Soon Wriddhiman Saha got out playing a small cameo of 18 of 17.

No one could stand for long at the pitch for SRH. It was the combined efforts of Abdul Samad and Rashid Khan that helped the orange army to reach a total of 134 with the fall of 9 wickets. In reply, Delhi Capitals started brilliantly and chased down their target in 17.5 overs with the loss of just 2 wickets.

Performance by Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals were dominant on their opposition and it hardly seemed like Sunrisers Hyderabad really on the match. In the bowling department, it was a joint effort by the team where Axar Patel and Nortje both picked up a couple of wickets, and Kagiso Rabada picked up three. Also, Rishabh Pant had contributions in two run-outs that took place during the SRH innings.

In the batting department, Shikhar Dhawan gave his team a magnificent start scoring 42 of 37 with 6 fours and 1 six. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant handled the business in the end where they scored 47 of 41 and 35 of 21 respectively, helping DC to win and go to the top of the points table again.
