Real Madrid has been experiencing how good is their decision of bringing back their former fitness coach Antonio Pintus. It is visible that how they changed with the arrival of Pintus in their victory against Valencia. They registered a 2-1 victory over them in La Liga at Mestalla stadium, with which it seemed like Real Madrid will get back their old form. Two goals came from the Spanish Giants forwards Vinicius Jr and Karim Benzema within a three minutes gap in the second half.
Valencia forward Hugo Duro took his side ahead in the 66th minute with a sensational low strike. He spent his last season on loan at Madrid. Real Madrid smashed a superb comeback as Vinicius scored in the 86th minute followed by Benzema in the 88th minute. Valencia would have topped the chart with a win in this game. However, at present Real Madrid stands at the top with 13 points from five games. The hosts are in third with 10 points.
Vinicius said that the comeback wasn’t easy after conceding the first goal. He added how the team kept on persisting and didn’t give up. He is happy with the win and with how the team has played. Significantly, it’s the positive reflection of coach Antonio Pintus’s return.
The Return of Antonio Pintus
Pintus returned to Madrid as part of Carlo Ancelotti’s appointment with the motto to improve the fitness scenario of the club stars. They had an injury-filled season last time. His hard work has started to pay off with the club scoring 14 of their total 16 goals in the second part of the games.
However, injury issues have persisted in this season as well. The club is at present without Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, Dani Ceballos, Ferland Mendy, Marcelo, and Mariano Diaz due to their injuries. Nacho Fernández and Luka Modric are among those too, spending their time out in this season.
Few of these instances date back to last season and the summer. Pintus will be surely concerned that these injury issues aren’t continuing in the long run.
