Odisha FC has signed a partnership deal with the Premier League team, Watford, with their outfit. The Indian club disclosed that they have signed a 3-year international club partnership deal with the EPL’s Watford FC. This historic association will benefit both the franchises, where they will operate various footballing as well as non-footballing aspects.

The partnership, signed between the two clubs will play a significant role in the enhancement of Odisha’s football eco-system. Coaches from Watford will come and assist Odisha FC’s youths to get established from the Odisha’s Elite Youth team. Also, the young generations will get opportunities to execute training with Watford’s academic team and even Watford’s first team as well.
The two clubs will also promote various grassroots programs. Besides, they will work on the development of Women’s football in the state as well as in overall India, by organizing friendly football matches between women.
Both the Indian and the Premier League club will work on the selection of players, develop tactical and technical aspects of the game, the appointment of coaching and support staff, etc. Moreover, these two will also share ideas in marketing terms along with social media visibility. This will assist in making the sport even more popular and also develop the fanbase in the region.
