Smarter Living 2022: Xiaomi to launch routers, cameras

Xiaomi will launch routers and cameras alongside laptops at Smarter Living 2022.

The company will hold its annual Mi Smarter Living 2022 event on August 26. Xiaomi entered India via smartphone in 2014, hoping to provide a competitive advantage at a competitive price. By 2017, it had taken the lead in this market segment with its streamlined and powerful product portfolio. An opportunity to bring Xiaomi’s connected devices to the forefront to create an ecosystem that surpasses smartphones. This gamble paid off because Xiaomi now has more than 350 million IoT products on the market.
Xiaomi India announced that the company’s next Mi Smarter Living 2022 event will take place on August 26. The company has recently started showcasing its next-gen Mi laptops in India.

Brand CBO talks about Xiaomi’s journey to the Internet of Things

Starting with Xiaomi notebooks, Xiaomi India is expecting to enter the high-end notebook market with new models. Xiaomi already offers cheap laptops of the Mi and Redmi series. Recently, the company also released a picture of an upcoming laptop with a backlit keyboard.

On the other hand, the upcoming Mi Smart Band 6 seems to have similarities with China’s Mi Band 6. It has a 1.56-inch AMOLED screen, which is larger than the 1.1-inch AMOLED screen on the Mi Band 5. The screen pixel density is 326ppi and the maximum brightness is 450 nits. There is also a 125 mAh battery, which provides up to 14 days of standby time. In terms of functions, Mi Band 6 supports 24 × 7 heart rate blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring and sleep tracking.

Xiaomi has yet to share detailed information about India’s upcoming WiFi router. The company offers multiple advanced options around the world, such as Mi Router Ax9000 and Mi AIoT Router AX3600. There is also a 4A Gigabit version of the Mi Router. However, it only sells Mi Router 4C in India which supports speeds of up to 300Mbps. Whereas the existing security cameras in India made their debut in 2018. Regarding pricing, Reddy told Moneycontrol that Xiaomi will stick to its concept of “honest pricing” without revealing other details.
