David Beckham strategizing to bring Lionel Messi to Inter Miami

The Argentine legend Lionel Messi left his former club Barcelona FC earlier in August due to various financial issues. He signed a new deal with the French giants, Paris Saint Germain. However, the 34-year-old is yet to make his debut for his new club. Some speculations are arising that Messi may leave Paris-Saint Germain and join Inter Miami, as the current president of the club David Beckham, may tempt him to come there.

Reports state that the Inter Miami owner is planning to influence Messi so that somehow he comes to Inter Miami. Sources verify that the former professional footballer has already contacted the Argentine captain, and has attempted to sign him in when his contract with PSG ends. Messi has signed the deal with PSG on a 2-year contract. There is also the option of 2 years becoming 3.

Also, it is known that Messi already has various luxury apartments in the city. This thing will play a great role in either Messi gets convinced or not for the deal. Alongside Beckham, co-founder Jorge Mas is also on a mission to tempt the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, to move stateside.

Jorge Mas said to Miami Herald that he and David are trying their level best and working very hard, on this project. He also said that they aspire to bring the best players of the club here, Lionel Messi being one of them. He is a generational player and arguably the greatest of all time – he added.

Further, he said that he is optimistic about Lionel Messi playing in the shirt of Inter Miami. He thinks that then only the legacy of the greatest player of this generation will be completed. Also, besides this, the Inter Miami owners will be able to form a world of the class team.
