The fixtures for the Indian football team for the SAFF championship have been announced. The South Asian Football Federation will take place from October 1 to 13. There will be five teams participating in this league, including India. The other teams excluding team India are Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives.
The Fixtures of team India
The kickoff of the tournament will see the match between Maldives and Nepal at the National Football Stadium in Male City. The men in Blues will begin their tournament on October 3. Their first match is against Bangladesh.
On October 6, they will lock horns against Sri Lanka, and with Nepal on October 8th. Igor Stimac’s side will end their group stage by playing against the host nation, Maldives. All the matches are going to take place in the National Football Stadium in Male city.
How will the Indian Football team perform?
India is expected to finish the group stage being at the top of the table. Also, they will probably look forward to in playing the finals and with the SAFF championship. They have been the most successful team in the championship and will set their focus on their 8th regional silverware. Team India is currently preparing themselves for the tournament. They will play two friendlies with Nepal before going to Male city.
