The Manipur forward signed a 3-year contract with the club, which the club revealed on Wednesday. With this, the 23-year-old became their 8th signing in this summer. The Blues are looking forward to showing their efficiency in the AFC Cup, with their match against Eagles FC.
The career of Bidyasagar Singh till now
At first, the Manipuri footballer came through Tiddim Road Athletic Union FC youth system. He then joined the East Bengal club in 2016. He first came into the limelight when he took the under 18’s team of Kolkata into the U-18 I-League finals of 2016-17.
In that tournament, he marked his talent by scoring six goals combining semi-finals and finals. Then he got the chance to play in the senior team, and he didn’t miss the chance of proving himself again by scoring twice in a 2-1 win over the Blues, in the 2019 Durand cup, in the group stage.
Dream come true moment for Bidyasagar
Completing the deal with Bengaluru FC, Bidyasgar said that it has been a dream come true moment for him. Now that he is here, he wants to achieve more by playing for the club and himself as well. He is also looking forward to improving himself gradually and contribute to the team by his level best, and by the winning legacy he has set up.
He also added that he has some great players beside him, including Sunil Bhai and Gurpreet Bhai. And he wishes to learn from them and is eager to grow consequently day by day.
