Messi must forget his Copa America history and lead Argentina well in the finals

The Copa America final will kick off at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro on 11th July at 5:30 PM. As per the wish of everyone, fans will get to see Argentina and Brazil locking horns against each other in the showdown of the tournament. Brazil beat Peru by a score of 1-0 and Argentina beat Colombia in the penalty shootout to attain the position they are onto at present. Also, fans will be eager to see the epic battle between Messi and Neymar.

The rivalry between Argentina and Brazil has been world-famous for years, and it is not for the first time, that the two teams are facing each other in the final. In this race, Brazil has been a bit ahead of Argentina with a winning score of 3-1.

Argentina won the battle in the Copa America final between them in 1937. Since then Brazil was unbeaten in the finals, played between the two. They won 2004 and 2007 Copa America titles by beating Argentina in the finals, and also beat them in one Confederations Cup of 2005.

Keeping all these track records and statistics, Brazil is a bit ahead of the Argentines. Though Argentina is not far behind Brazil, their basic win ratio remains like 51-49. There will be certainly a tough fight between the two teams, as the players of both the teams are in good form. And Messi needs to forget the past and lead Argentina their first Copa America title, under his reign.
