Telegram is adding group video calling

With the latest version of Telegram’s Android, iOS and desktop apps, users of the Telegram encrypted messaging app can turn their group voice chats into video conference calls.
users can choose to pin someone’s video feed to the screen so that even when new participants join the call, they can stay front and center.
Unsurprisingly, if users need to make a presentation or want to show something, they can share their screen. According to Engadget reports, users can choose to share their camera and screen at the same time.

In this release, group video calls are limited to the first 30 people who join voice chat. However, Telegram said this number will increase “soon” as voice chat expands to support live events and other features. New users can participate in group video calls on mobile phones, tablets and computers.
Earlier, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov announced the news through a message posted on his official Telegram channel.

The app will add a video dimension to telegram’s voice chat in May. This will help in making Telegram a powerful Video call platform group.

However, he also emphasized the importance of group video call security, which may be the cause of the delay.
