Though the Madrid superstar, Ramos wanted a two-year new agreement to continue playing to his club, according to various sources, Perez was strict in his decision and was not ready to break his policy of finalizing only a one-year contract with the 30 years players.
Consultations had been going on between these two since 2020, which concluded in June 2021, as none of them was ready to adjust. Though some sources also state that Ramos didn’t want a pay rise to stay in the club.
