Deccan Charges approached Bombay High Court, where retired Justice C.K. Thakkar, first took the role of an arbitrator. For this, the court also commanded BCCI to give Rs.4800 crore to the DCHL Company in July 2020. After this, the company demanded damage charges, which was a massive amount of Rs.6046 crore, along with interest and charges, as per sources.
BCCI believed that it was a very good case
In 2020, while discussing the matter of development, BCCI officially stated that an appeal was on the cards as they staunchly believed the case to be a very good one. However, Deccan Charges is yet to make any official statement on the judgment by the court.
