Real Madrid has made a new contract offer to Sergio Ramos before his possible departure. The Los Blancas center-back is leaving the Spanish capital within a few weeks, with his contract expiring at the end of this month.
Real Madrid and Ramos have tried to settle a new deal over the recent few months, but they have failed to make a final decision and concludes it into an agreement.
The defender was not impressed by his offering of a reduced salary and a short time deal at the age of 35. But in recent few weeks, it has been heard that Ramos has considered such terms because he is looking for his recovery from injury.
Ramos has missed 35 games across all competitions due to his injury this season, and it also leads to missing out on Luis Enrique’s Spain squad for Euro 2020.
He is looking to return to Real Madrid for next season. Its meeting has already been done with club President Florentino Perez. Both Ramos and Perez have met each other in the last week in the club’s Valdebebas base. After that meeting, it has been reported by Diario AS that Real Madrid is ‘open to returning with another offer’ despite seeing proposals turned down already.
It has been heard that Ramo’s importance in the squad has made them led to this decision. But it also heard that Raphael Varane’s situation also could be a factor. France International will be out of contract next summer, and if he does not sign a new deal before the end of this summer, he will be sold to avoid him learning for free in 2022.
Los Blancos have signed David Alaba to strengthen their defence this summer, and they do have Nacho Fernandez and Eder Militao, who both impressed this season.
But if they lose Ramos and Varane, then it will be a great loss for one summer, and that will be a great loss for one summer, and that will affect large, so they offered a new deal once again, while Varane is also said to have been offered new terms.
