Blizzard revealed the required PC specs for the Diablo 4 open beta during a livestream. It’s important to note that the requirements shared by Blizzard are only for the open beta, so these details may change once Diablo 4 is released in its entirety. Diablo 4 was announced at Blizzcon in 2019 and had a difficult development path. After the sexual misconduct lawsuit was filed in 2021, the team lost key members such as game director Luis Barriga and game designer Jesse McCree.
Following them was interim co-lead Jen Oneal, at which point Blizzard announced Diablo 4 would not be released in 2022. The open beta will begin on March 17 for those who preordered, with the full release scheduled for June 6. The game will retain classic elements such as procedurally generated dungeons while also introducing new elements such as an open world and PVP interactions.
It’s also worth noting that, while Blizzard revealed the minimum requirements, the developers stated that Diablo 4 will attempt to run on hardware that is less than the minimum, but the game experience will suffer as a result. Players who haven’t preordered the game will be able to participate in the open beta as well; however, the window will be limited to March 24 to 26. The beta will take players from the start of Act 1 to the end, and everyone will be able to reach level 25. Fans will be able to fully explore the Fractured Peaks zone during the Diablo 4 beta and earn exclusive rewards if they meet certain milestones.

Despite the controversies surrounding Blizzard, as well as the ongoing saga of Microsoft attempting to acquire Activision, it appears that fans are very excited to finally be able to enter the world and take their first steps in the open beta environment. Despite the fact that Blizzard has shared developer updates throughout the development of Diablo 4, fans have been left in the dark about many details. There hasn’t been much information released about the PVP aspect, and some fans have criticised Blizzard for focusing its discussions on the products that players can purchase, such as the battle pass or the collector’s edition.
Diablo 4 launches on June 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
